Childhood
Poem below the image ✨✨✨
Why's the sky so blue?
Why don't animals speak like us?
Why can't we fly like birds?
Why trees never grumble or fuss?
Asking questions unafraid,
Playing without worry,
Watching cartoons all day,
Laughing and being merry.
These were the golden days,
No money but more time,
When we weren't scared to fall,
Or commit a harmless crime.
Whether Monday or Sunday,
Both made us happy,
Each day a new adventure,
With toys, games or Barbie.
Childhood was truly golden,
Messy, wild, and crazy,
I wish to be a child again,
Fearless, bold, and free!
Author's Note:
Childhood was beautiful. As a kid, I loved playing badminton in the neighborhood.
We also played UNO, cards, and with the ball. My favourite cartoons were Pokemon, Oswald, Dragon Tales, and Tom & Jerry.
With my sister I played chess and Scrabble.
I also developed a love for books. Enid Blyton’s The Enchanted Wood series was one of my favourites.
What are your most treasured childhood memories? Would love to know in the comments section!
If you think my writing is genuinely good and deserves a boost, buy me a coffee.

my childhood wasn't always so bright, but these brought up some of the good, carefree memories ♡
It was amazing reading from you, Subbed you for that.
Sweet/compact/nostalgic and beautiful.
My fav childhood memory must remain to go to play in the evening that was the time which gave me the most joy!
